RECAP
November 18, 2009
Phoenix, AZ - The Arizona Middle School Basketball Exposure Showcase (AMSBES) was held November 14-15, 2009 at Brophy Prep High School in Phoenix, AZ. Featuring 225 players from Arizona from ages 10-14.
The two day event was presented by the Channing Frye Foundation. Several scouting services also covered the AMSBES. Here are the Top prospects from the showcase.
Rolando Rhymes – (2014 ASU MS/Channing Frye Bulldogs) PG who attacks the basket. Can score in bunches and has great leadership. Arizona’s top prospect in the Class of 2014. AMSBES 2014 MVP.
Isaac Allen – (2014 Brimhall Jr. HS) the 6’9 forward is gaining attention early because of his upside. He runs the floor well and understands his role. Patient player on the floor and will not be a secret anymore to college coaches. Only 13 years old.
John Jackson – (2014 Sonoran MS/AZ Gorillas) The 6’3 post player was ranked the #1 player in the 8th grade at the Adidas Phenom camp this past summer in San Diego, CA. Runs the floor and uses his size well to post up. Soft mid range shot.
Whakin Addison – (2014 Mesquite Jr. HS/AZ Gorillas) Addison is very athletic and makes plays happen in transition. Can create his shot and will be a player to watch.
Elijah Casey – (2014 Amerischools MS /Channing Frye Bulldogs) Casey is a skilled wing/post who demands the ball. The 6’3 presence mostly oversized opponents, but his ability to put the ball on the floor opens up his game. Great upside just turned 13 years of age in September.
Brandon Hoffer – (2015 Explorer MS/Blue devils) Hoffer was the most athletic player to watch. He will be a very good player at his level. Very mature on the floor and provides leadership. Best one on one player in the showcase. He will be the top in the Class of 2015 in Arizona. The AZMSBES 2015 MVP.
