Mesa, Arizona – The 6th Annual Arizona Frosh Soph Showcase was held on Saturday September 10 at Mesa High School.

Close to 80 student-and athletes participated in the annual showcase camp in front of scouts and a few college coaches. I want to thank Anthony Ray & Chris Buchanan of www.arizonapreps.com Gregg Rosenberg of Arizonavarsity.com Dennis Coleman (World Hoops), Paul Dean (West Coast Hoops Report), Ron Coleman (Southwestshowcase.com), Vernon Holmes (Shooters Revolution) also college coaches Mark Bunker (Scottsdale College), Steve Silsby (Chandler-Gilbert), Simon Phipps (Glendale College), Townsend Orr (Benedictine University) and Tarik James (SAGU College).

Also thanks to our guest speakers Academic counselor Willie Young (Mesa College), Craig Randall (Sales Executive) spoke on the recruiting process, his son plays basketball at he University of Memphis. Matt Lopez also spoke on his career now a student-manager at Grand Canyon University (We all started somewhere), former college basketball player at LSU Nick Sheppard, also signed contracts with the Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns. Lynn Ramage also spoke, Ramage is a former college head coach at East Stroudsburg University (PA) and has ran several Prep Schools across the country. Vern Holmes also gave a great inspirational speech as he started Evo1sports.com and has helped over 75 players get exposure in front of college coaches. Lastly I want to thank College Basketball Official (referee) Randy Richardson for giving his background and experience to the campers, as well as spoke upon sportsmanship in athletics.
