RECAP – Fullcourt Press All-FROSH SOPH Camp

FROSHSOPHcamp 008

Corona, CA – The 2012 Fullcourt Press All-FROSH Soph Camp was held this weekend at Player’s Edge facility in Corona, CA. This is the first report of two, I will post the next one on Wednesday.

The camp was maxed out at 180 campers, being in the spot light of several scouts in attendance. Players attended from Utah, Arizona, Colorado, Nevada and California.

Camp directors Dinos Trigonis and Etop Udo Ema (Fullctpress.net) always do an outstanding job at getting the top crop of talent from all over the West Coast to participate under one roof. Both Trigonis and Udo Ema work very hard at making this camp the major stop for every scout, coach and Freshman or Soph’s that want exposure and get a chance to build up there college recruiting.

Scouts and recruiting websites that attended included just about every source in the country like: Van Coleman (Hot100hoops.com and xofan.com), Frank Burlison (Burlisononbasketball.com), Joel Francisco (ESPNU), Ronnie Flores (Elite24 & ESPN Rise), Chad Groth (Areacodesbasketball.com), Clark Francis (Hoopscooponline.com), Greg Hicks (Scout.com), Josh Gershon (Fox Sports & Scout.com, Gerry Freitas (Hoopreview.com), Vegaspremierball.com, Westcoasthoopsreport.com and Ihigh.com were all IN THE HOUSE!

Van Coleman

Heavy groups of talent came from Las Vegas, Sacramento, San Diego and the LA area. Las Vegas is loaded with talent mostly from Clark HS & Gorman pulled players to this event, and the LV Prospects also took advantage of the scouts and had a nice lineup of players attend. San Diego was also heavy at this event, as Charlie Mercado (Gamepoint), Jerome Sherman (SD Magic) and Marshawn Cherry (SD All Stars) all brought players to this event and that makes a difference in helping kids get exposure in front of media and scouts instead of them sitting at home playing video games and or playing in front of nobody. Sacramento and the Northern California area was also filled with 2015 and 2016 prospects at this event as well as Colorado and Aezelle Lewis of BAC (Denver, CO) had a handful of young prospects that attended. Finally, you know So Cal and the Los Angeles area is always the hot spot for players and this event surely helped them.
