Jaron Hopkins verbals to Colorado
Phoenix, AZ – I was the first to get the call from the Hopkins family, so here it is.
Jaron Hopkins the 6 foot 4 combo guard from Chandler, AZ gave a verbal this afternoon to the University of Colorado.
Hopkins is Area Codes Basketball’s #1 prospect in the Class of 2013, and will play this season at Dobson High School in Mesa, AZ after his transfer from Basha High School.
Hopkins played aau basketball for the Compton Magic under Etop Udo Ema.
This year his team was named The Magic (AZ) because the core of the players were based in Arizona and coached by Brian Hopkins, Jaron’s dad.
Hopkins was named MVP in Chad Groth’s ELITE 8 in the Desert by Area Codes Basketball.
Hopkins picked Colorado over Oregon State, Auburn, Washington and UNLV.
