Paul Watson to Fresno State
Phoenix, AZ – After a weekend visit to Fresno State, Paul Watson (Paradise Valley High School-Phoenix, AZ) the 6 foot 7 small forward has made it official.
On Saturday night, Watson gave Fresno State head coach Rodney Terry the YES! Watson was along on the visit with Compton Magic CEO Etop Udo Ema.
“This will be a perfect situation for Paul, and he feels at home with the staff that did a great job recruiting him”, said Udo Ema.
Watson has played the past two years with the Compton Magic and blew up while playing with them in the spring and summer of his sophomore year. Watson was ranked #49 on rivals last year and is a very athletic prospect that can finish in traffic or knock down the mid range jumper.
Watson was ranked by Area Codes Basketball as the second best 2013 prospect in Arizona behind Jaron Hopkins. Both Watson and Hopkins participated in the Pangos All-American Camp as invited by Dinos Trigonis of Full Court Press.
Watson was named First-Team ELITE 8 in the Desert in 2011 & 2012
Watson picked Fresno State over Arizona State, Colorado State, Oregon State, Northern Arizona, Texas Tech and Boise State.
