Top Arizona post leaves for Indiana
Phoenix, AZ – Area Codes Basketball got word last week that 6’8 2013 forward Torren Jones is leaving Dobson High School in Mesa, AZ for La Lumiere School located in La Porte, IN, today sources confirmed the move as official.
Jones played last season at Basha High School (Chandler, AZ) and averaged 19.6 points per game and 10 rebounds, after a coaching change decided to head to enroll at Dobson High School. After a week into school apparently the move is on to Indiana.
La Lumiere School is a private boarding school just 60 miles East of Chicago, IL and 25 miles West from South Bend, IN. The boarding enrollment at La Lumiere School is 75 students.
La Lumiere School is coached by former Creighton basketball player Alan Huss, 6’9 center that knows the game and is a well respected coach. The schedule at La Lumiere School is more on a national level andplays the likes of Findlay Prep and Oak Hill Academy, the school was founded in 1963.
La Lumiere returns several post players like 6-foot-10 junior Johnathon Wilkins, the son of former NBA player Jeff Wilkins.
La Lumiere School is accredited by Independent Schools Association of the Central States (ISACS) and the North Central Association (NCA) and is a member of the Catholic Boarding Schools Association (CBSA), the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS), the Midwest Boarding Schools Association (MWBS), and The Association of Boarding Schools (TABS).
Resident tuition for boarding is $35,050 per academic year, Jones is being recruited by Colorado, Missouri, New Mexico, Oregon State, San Diego State, Wyoming, Indiana and USC.
